Do you think we could get along? Wiki principles below
Wikimedia projects belong to everyone
You made it. It is yours to use. For free. That means you can use it, adapt it, or share what you find on Wikimedia sites.
We respect your data
We do not sell your email address or any of your personal information to third parties. Readers verify the facts. Articles are collaboratively created and edited by a community of volunteers using reliable sources, so no single person or company owns a Wikipedia article.
Grow community around the world
When more people can access and contribute to free knowledge, the better that knowledge reflects the world. We are committed to helping grow and sustain a healthy community of over 220,000 people across 170 nations.
Fight legal battles to make free knowledge possible
Access to knowledge around the world is under constant attack. At Wikimedia, we work to give access to knowledge to everyone, for free, forever. We fight against censorship, and fiercely promote open licenses to ensure our materials can be used and revised globally.
Partner for change Working with partners like Google, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and UNESCO, Wikimedia actively seeks new knowledge, closing systemic gaps in global understanding of language, culture, and identity.
This year we received a record amount of applications so far, the number exceeded 320 applications from all over the world. Our goal is to maintain quality of event and diversity of participants.
